“Growing in Grace, Giving in Love”
During the month of October, we will be sharpening our focus on the theme, “Growing in Grace, Giving in Love.” The theme reminds us that stewardship is not just about finances—it’s about our spiritual growth in Christ. Together, we are called to grow in the grace of Christ, and to express our love for God and one another through faithful generosity.
Growing in Grace - As we grow spiritually, we discover that every gift we enjoy comes to us from God’s heart of love. This is where our understanding of stewardship begins and that is with gratitude to God for all the blessings He pours out on us.
Giving in Love – Our giving is an act of worship and a wonderful response to God’s love. Through our financial giving we join in mission to share the gospel and to live a life of service in the world.
I am really looking forward to being with you in this journey as I firmly believe we will experience even more the joy of generosity and the power of God’s Spirit working through us.
Jesus is All that You Need
We begin our focus on “Growing in Grace, Giving in Love” with my message, “Jesus is All that You Need”. I will share a transforming moment in my life through a conversation I had with a homeless person I met on a street in Atlanta. What he shared with me that day was simple but profound, so much to the point that I have carried his message with me every day of my life since our meeting. That was 18 years ago, and the message God gave me through him is just as strong now and just as fresh as that day of our encounter. Our scripture focus is on I John 5:11-14.
