We are blessed to have the Rev. James Gwin as our guest pastor this Sunday. James has served churches in the North Georgia Conference of the UMC as pastor and senior pastor for almost 30 years. He retired from the pastoral ministry in 2022 after serving as senior pastor of the Acworth First United Methodist Church for 11 years.
James and his wife, Beth, have been married for forty-three years and have five adult children. Rev. Gwin began his undergraduate studies at Young Harris College, where he met Beth as a fellow student. He received his graduate degree in Business Management from the University of Georgia. After graduation he worked as a Senior Programmer Analyst and then he received his call into the ministry which he began after his graduation from seminary in 1993.
The title of James’ message for this Sunday is, “Your Welcome_ _ _?” and the scripture focus will be on Hebrews 13:1-2. We look forward to having Rev. Gwin bring the message and let’s keep James in our prayers as he prepares to be with us in worship for this Sunday.
