Wayne Smith

Wayne is a native Georgian, having grown up in Athens.  He went to school there and taught school there for seven years before going to seminary and being ordained as a Deacon and an Elder in the United Methodist Church.  He has been serving United Methodist Churches in N GA for forty years.  He has two adult sons, one daughter-in-law, and four grandchildren.  Wayne loves the Lord and the United Methodist Church, and particularly, Holly Springs UMC.  He believes not only that life in the Church should be holy and devout, but that it can also be uplifting and fun!  He enjoys laughing, singing, playing the 5-string banjo and guitar, and cheering for the Georgia Bulldogs!  Wayne and his wife, Cheryl, look forward to meeting and worshiping with you at Holly Springs United Methodist Church.
